Hole by Keana Labra

taste the silvered tip, tracing,
watch as the supple skin splits beneath the red:
finality’s temptation, like smoke swirls shrouding
my head, if my gaze is straight then my truth

I’ll not betray, fists clenched,
the pressure of my jaw

keeping me together.
(I’ll get through this feeling).
