Christmas 2017 by Joseph Darlington

I imagine snow

Like wrapping

Crisp and crinkling

And your head

Beneath

White covers, drifts

Like a tundra

Your body beneath,

In bed

It’s Christmas Eve,

Tepid, sodden.

I’m imagining

You alone

With snow falling

And the snow melts

Like you.
